About us

The Universities Coordinated Bargaining Committee (UCBC) is a province-wide body that includes representatives of CUPE university locals in British Columbia. The committee provides a forum for sharing information, coordinating contract administration and bargaining, and working together to raise awareness of the work that CUPE members do to support universities and students.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees represents 12,000 workers at B.C. universities. We are the largest support and teaching staff union in the university sector, with members at UBC, UVic, SFU, TRU, UNBC and RRU.

From the first day students arrive on campus until the day they graduate, CUPE members work to make B.C.’s universities safe, welcoming and thriving communities. We are proud of the work we do to ensure B.C. has the highest quality learning and working conditions possible.
